Hello Everyone!

As per our last post, we have a member’s only club shoot occurring again this weekend. Despite the windy weather we are currently experiencing, the forecast says we’re in for a lovely sunny day on Sunday (the 19th) – so please give Merv a call on 0466 289 647 to secure your place. The shoot is limited to 20 people to comply with Covid regulations, and we’ve lowered the shoot fee to $10 as you need to supply your own food and drink (communal food and drink is a Covid no-no).

Despite the latest flare up in Covid cases in Victoria and (to a lesser extent) New South Wales, we’re still crossing our fingers for the relaxation of restrictions on adult sporting venues on the 1st of August. The situation is obviously dynamic, but we’ll be sure to pass any news we receive onto you as soon as we hear it.

Lastly, as we’ve rolled into the new financial year, membership fees are now due. Members who are not paid are not insured, and therefore can’t shoot. Whilst we understand that opportunities to shoot have been limited this year for obvious reasons, the cost of running the club continues as normal – so we’d like to thank our members for their understanding at the lack of events we’ve been able to hold. We’d also like to remind everyone of the excellent work we’ve been able to do this year with the soon to be finished new start-line structure and new 3D targets we’ve been able to purchase. There’s no question we’re in for some good shooting when we’re back in full swing. Remember too that the club is open to keyholders at all times, so please come out and practice when you can, adhering to social distancing rules if you’re coming as a group.

Payment can be made in person at the shoot on the weekend, or by direct deposit. Membership fees are $85 for adults, $40 for Juniors and $170 for families. Direct deposit funds to Account Name ‘Hastings Valley Archery Club’, BSB 637-000, Account Number 713326135. Don’t forget to leave your name as the reference so we know who has paid!
