Rain doesn't dampen turnout for Come 'N' Try Day

New archers have weathered heavy rains to attend Come 'N' Try Day at Hastings Valley Archery Club.

A number of concerned inquiries were directed to the Club Facebook page and website with rainy conditions forecast on Sunday, March 15.

However the community pulled through with a 90 per cent turnout and around 51 archers attending on the day despite periodical showers.

Around seventeen club members guided newcomers under cover of the newly constructed shelter. Among several young archers on the day was a group celebrating a 11th birthday.

New archer Peter Bramich was given use of a HVAC compound bow on the day.

Three archers also attended the day from Manning/Great Lakes Archery Club to observe proceedings and report back to the club.  They were given 12 archery bales to help their club rebuild after the fires.
